I got to know about this brand from a local Facebook group named Pune Eat Outs. Loved their story and immediately wanted to taste their products and ordered. (Read the very interesting story here)
We tasted the Jams or should I say “Fruit spreads” from Tasha & girl first in 2017 and it was love at first taste😜😜
The fact that it is a local brand from Pune is one more reason to like it more.
- No artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives.
- No synthetic gelling agents or acids.
- No stabilizers, thickeners, anti-oxidants, or emulsifiers.
- Unsulfated cane sugar only.
- Nothing our 4-year-old cannot eat in the raw form.
We make and sell (sometimes spiced) fruit spreads made using fresh fruit, fresh spices, unsulfated cane sugar, and recipes approved by a 4-year-old, packed in the cutest bottles this side of Alpha Centauri. Sometimes we give our test batches out for free, but for that you need to be really nice to us.

What’s Inside?: Crushed Strawberries (56%), Unsulfated cane sugar, Apple pulp, Lime juice and Lavender extract.
Safety Information : Refrigerate after opening. Consume within 8-10 weeks. NOT for diabetics.
Their Legal Disclaimer : Refrigerate after opening. These are delicate fruits. Best consumed at 14C/57F and within 8-10 weeks of opening. These are fresh fruit jams with NO added colours, flavours, or preservatives to maintain the kind of consistency you would get in a mass-manufactured product. They may change colour and consistency with time and exposure to light and heat. The spice tends to settle into the lower regions of the jar. The taste may change ever so slightly from batch to batch. But every jar of our jam is creation of careful cooking with centuries-old recipes. There may be natural blemishes/distinctions that are not product flaws. Such variations are inherent in the manufacturing of our jams. Also, please note that while we have tried to accurately display the colours and size of our jam bottles, the actual colours you see will depend on your electronic screen’s settings and may not be accurate.
I have tried 2-3 variants namely mangoes & chili from S01 in 2017 , Figs & Cinnamon from S02 and Strawberry & Lavender. I refrain from experimenting and stick to the tried and tested flavors.
Taste wise it’s good like jams from other players (like Stute or Dana), but the best thing is, it is Local ( very important for me), the variety is huge, so that’s awesome. Sadly my daughter Zo is not very keen on trying these jams else it becomes really easy to feed toddlers because it contains very safe ingredients. Put it inside a paratha and make a roll or sandwich between some bread. I put a dollop full over some cakes as well. Or custard sometimes. Or may be a teaspoon full in a glass of milk for some healthy milkshake.
Price: 210/- for 400 gms
Packaging: All their fruit spreads come in very sturdy glass bottles and good lids with very interesting labels.
Variants: Very Unique combinations like Fig & Ginger, Mango & Chili, Mango & Pepper, Strawberry & Mint and Many more.
VFM: It’s price is obviously on the higher side compared to a Kissan (150/- for 500gms) or a Mapro or a Manama which are actually jellies but given the ingredients of Tasha and girl, i think it’s a good buy especially for children. Also, in the beginning their rates were very high but now it’s in a good range.
Shelf life: 24 months
Texture: Pulpy, Thick, slightly chunky.
Taste: Yumm and not very sweet. The Mango & Chili one tastes like very tasty murabba to me. Strawberry and Lavender one is very tasty. Fig and cinnamon was devoured only by me 😋😜. So Delicious and also Nutritious 😍😍
Overall SR Rating: 5/5
Ease of use: 5
Shelf life: 5
Will i repurchase?? Yes, definitely.
Availability: Now it is available on Amazon as well. (But Tasha & girl!! Why are you not on bigbasket??)
Have you tried these fruit spreads? Which flavor was the best?? Comment here and let me know🤩🤩
