Money Plant| Pothos

I always had 2-3 different pothos in my garden. This time I decided to reuse my fishbowl as a pothos planter and so I added some colorful stones, water and planted a twig from my existing plant.

It is growing beautifully but I am super awed to see that 2 leaves are coming even underwater. Looks beautiful, I am loving it šŸ˜

Spinach in my Garden

So many benefits of eating Spinach : The calcium helps strengthen your bones to fight against injury, and vitamins A and C, fiber, folic acid, and other nutrients fight against colon and breast cancers.Ā Also helps to lower damaging protein levels in the blood and can protect against high blood pressure and heart disease.

Growing : Sow theĀ spinachĀ seeds thinly in rows spaced about one to 1 1/2 feet apart or simply scatter the seeds in blocks. Cover lightly with soil, firm in place and water well. Keep the soil moist until germination.

I make Corn Palak, palak paneer, palak parathas and spinach ravioli. What all recipes you guys make out of Spinach? Do comment and let me know.

We got these seeds from Amazon :

My Different Peppers

Growing different kinds of peppers is such an amazing experience, Super easy to grow and the yield is always good with minimum work. We have grown and harvested Capsicums, green chilies, JalapeƱos and my current ones are the piri piri peppers also known as bird’s eye chili ( we got the seeds from Goa). Click to find How i Pickle these jalapenos?

Capsicums are an excellent source of vitamin A and C (red contain more than green capsicums). They are also a good source of dietary fibre, vitamin E, B6 and folate.

I pickle the JalapeƱos and use it in pizza muffins, pizza, pasta and sandwiches. JalapeƱos contains lots of vitamin C and vitamin B6.

Growing peppers is very easy, just take out the seeds, dry in shade and plant at least 10-15 inches apart in a well lit sunny place. Water regularly.

My Rangoon creeper (or Madhumalti or chinese honeysuckle) is also blooming beautiful small deep pink shades of flowers. These flowers are emanating a sweet fragrance in this rainy season and i am just loving it.

The feeling of sipping a hot cuppa coffee in midst of these beautiful fragrant flowers and the sound of lashing rains is amazing.

Fruits of labour, bitter tasting though they may be. After 3 months of growing absolutely wildly and spreading everywhere in our balcony, we finally uprooted the bitter gourd vines. They yielded smaller fruit than we’d hoped for, but turned out very tasty just the same.
